1What the error means
Self-diagnosis: the inverter detected a defective varistor — the component that protects it from overvoltages. The varistor has “sacrificed itself” by absorbing an overvoltage.

- Overvoltage from lightning or from the grid
- Ageing of the varistor
3What to do
- The inverter usually keeps operating, but without overvoltage protection.
- Schedule replacement of the varistor in our lab.
