These terms describe how we take on the repair of an inverter, so that you know from the outset what happens at each stage and what it costs. They apply to every unit we receive in our lab, together with the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
1. Receipt of the unit
- The unit is received at our lab, Ypsilantou 45, Kalochori, Thessaloniki, Greece, or shipped to us by courier or freight carrier.
- Receipt form: when you bring the unit to the lab, you receive a form stating the model, the serial number, the error indications and the condition in which it was received. When it arrives by carrier, the shipping document takes its place.
- Send the unit well packaged. Damage caused in transit is the responsibility of the sender and the carrier.
- Shipping costs: the cost of shipping to the lab and back is borne by the customer.
2. Diagnosis
- The unit is registered, visually inspected and the real cause of the fault is diagnosed on the power and control boards.
- Diagnosis is not an automated process. It takes bench time and equipment, which is why it is carried out only in the lab.
When the diagnosis is charged:
- If the repair goes ahead, it is not charged — it is included in the cost of the repair.
- It is charged at €120 plus VAT only if, after learning what is wrong and what it costs, you choose not to have the repair carried out.
- If the unit is deemed unrepairable, or the damage is so extensive that a repair makes no sense, nothing is charged.
3. Quotation and approval
- We inform you in detail of what is wrong and what the repair costs.
- The repair starts only after you approve it. No surprises in the cost.
- If something comes up during the repair that was not apparent in the diagnosis, we stop and contact you again before continuing.
4. If the repair does not go ahead
The unit is returned in the condition in which it was received, after we have informed you. What is owed depends on the reason:
- The unit cannot be repaired — extensive damage, spare parts no longer manufactured, or a unit that cannot be restored: you owe no diagnosis fee, only the return shipping costs.
- You choose not to have the repair carried out although the unit is repairable: the €120 plus VAT for the diagnosis is owed, together with the return shipping costs.
5. Repair time
On most units the diagnosis is completed within 48 hours of receipt, and the repair within a further 24 hours after your approval.
High-power inverters need more time. The same applies when a spare part not held in the lab has to be ordered — in that case we inform you of the new delivery time. These times are the usual ones and do not constitute a binding deadline.
6. Testing and delivery
- Every inverter is tested under controlled simulated operating conditions, to confirm that it operates under load before it leaves the lab.
- The unit is delivered with documentation of the repair carried out.
- Delivery takes place after payment in full.
7. Repair warranty
Every repair we carry out comes with a six (6) month warranty, from the date of delivery.
The warranty covers the whole unit and not only the fault that was repaired: if a problem with the inverter occurs within this period, we take it on without charge for labour or parts. It does not cover:
- damage from overvoltage, lightning, water, overheating or a fault in the installation;
- damage from intervention by a third party or opening of the unit after delivery;
- normal wear of consumables (e.g. fans).
8. Collection and unclaimed units
Space in the lab is limited. As soon as the unit is ready we notify you, and we ask you to collect it within 7 days.
A unit that remains unclaimed for more than two (2) months from the notification, and after a second written reminder has been sent, is considered abandoned. In that case it is sent for recycling of electrical and electronic equipment and can no longer be returned. If you cannot collect it within this period, contact us — we will find a solution.
9. Liability
- Our liability relates exclusively to the work we carried out and is limited to its value.
- We are not liable for loss of profit or loss of production while the unit is in the lab.
- We do not undertake the installation or reconnection of the inverter to the grid — that is the job of a licensed electrician.
- Repair by an independent lab may affect the manufacturer's warranty, if it is still in force. Check this before entrusting the repair to us.
10. Prices and payment
Every price we quote is a net amount — VAT is added on the invoice. A legal invoice or receipt is always issued.
Payment is made by:
- RF payment code — the simplest way, using the code printed on the invoice.
- Bank transfer to the company's account.
- Card.
- Cash, provided the amount allows cash payment under tax legislation.
