1What the error means
Code 6432 belongs to event group 6001 to 6438, which SMA classifies as self-diagnosis: internal interference of the device. The inverter has detected abnormal behaviour in its internal circuits. Depending on the case, it may keep operating while showing the fault, or stop feeding in completely. The exact cause can only be identified through diagnosis in the workshop.
2Possible causes
- Fault on a power board of the inverter
- Fault in the internal measuring or control circuit
- Ageing or wear of electronic components
- Intermittent internal interference that recurs from time to time
3What to do
- Restart the inverter: disconnect the AC and DC side, wait a few minutes and reconnect according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Check externally that the DC and AC connections are properly seated and show no visible damage.
- Record how often the event occurs and whether it is accompanied by reduced yield.
- If the fault persists or recurs, the inverter needs to be checked in the workshop.
