SMA Error 1302

Grid fault

Error code
1302
Category
Grid fault
Manufacturer
SMA

1What the error means

Code 1302 means that the inverter is waiting for grid voltage and has detected an installation fault in the grid connection. According to the manufacturer, the line conductor (L) or the neutral conductor (N) is usually not connected, or the AC circuit breaker is switched off. The inverter does not feed energy into the grid until it detects a correct AC voltage.

2Possible causes

  • AC circuit breaker switched off or tripped
  • Line conductor (L) or neutral conductor (N) disconnected or loose
  • Damaged or incorrectly connected AC cable
  • Internal fault in the inverter's grid voltage measuring circuit

3What to do

  1. Make sure the inverter's AC circuit breaker is switched on and that grid voltage is present in the distribution board.
  2. Ask your installer to check that the line and neutral conductors are connected correctly and that the AC cable is not damaged.
  3. Restart the inverter by disconnecting the AC and DC sides for a few minutes and then reconnecting them.
  4. If the fault persists while grid voltage reaches the inverter normally, the inverter needs to be checked in the workshop.

4Repair by Aineas

You send the inverter to our lab in Thessaloniki. We diagnose it, inform you of the fault and the cost, and the repair starts only after you approve it. Every inverter is tested under simulated operating conditions before delivery.
