1What the error means
Fault in the DC link capacitors. One of the most common forms of wear in inverters after years of operation.
On the display or in the monitoring software it appears as Cap. Fault.
2Possible causes
- Worn or dried-out DC link capacitors
- Fault in the boost converter circuit
- Sudden voltage changes
3What to do
- One restart with AC and DC switched off.
- If it returns, the DC link capacitors need to be checked and usually replaced.
