1What the error means
The test of the relays that connect the inverter to the grid failed and the inverter does not connect. On the SG80KTL the manufacturer documents it as “Relay Fault on the Grid Side”; on the SG110, SG250 and SG350 as “Permanent Relay Fault” — a permanent relay fault that does not clear with a restart.
2Possible causes
- Stuck or burnt relay contacts
- Fault in the relay drive circuit
- Wear after many switching cycles
3What to do
- Switch off AC and DC, wait 2–3 minutes and restart once.
- If the code returns immediately, it is a permanent relay fault and cannot be fixed on site.
- We take on fault 38: the relays and their drive circuit are checked and replaced in our lab in Thessaloniki.
