We open and repair SMA inverters in our lab in Thessaloniki — including the series the manufacturer no longer supports.
We take on the well-known grid-tied SMA series:
If your model is not on the list, give us a call — we have most likely seen it before.

The faults that reach our bench are almost always electronic: worn DC-link capacitors, power transistors and driver circuits, grid relays that fail the self-test, insulation and leakage current measuring circuits, power supplies and fans.
All of these are repaired at component level. No new board is needed — and often there is no new board to buy anyway.
The manufacturer's manuals for the models we see most often on the bench — for wiring, settings and interpreting the display messages.
The manuals belong to the manufacturer (SMA Solar Technology) and are provided unaltered, for information.
You send or bring us the inverter. The diagnosis is usually completed within 48 hours and we inform you in detail. The repair starts only after you approve it.
If the repair goes ahead, the diagnosis is free of charge. If the unit cannot be repaired, nothing is charged.
Before it leaves the lab, every inverter is tested under load in simulated operating conditions, and comes with a six-month warranty on the whole unit.
